Shirley Warren streamline its office functions with the Tucasi Trips & Events module
Client
Shirley Warren is a busy primary and nursery school, situated in Southampton. It has more than 460 pupils aged from 2 to 11, and its long history provides strong links to the local community.

Challenge

In 2015, Sarah joined Shirley Warren School as its Admin Officer. She loved the bustling ethos and sense of community at her new workplace, but all the paperwork overwhelmed her. She told us "The office systems of recording payments were very archaic, with enormous ledger books and piles of money on the desks."

Having experienced the benefits of a paperless office in her previous job, Sarah was keen to streamline the systems at Shirley Warren. In particular, she wanted to make it easier to administer school events, so she needed a way to simplify the processes of inputting medical data, logging payments, and identifying and chasing up late payers.

Solution

Sarah was called on to help spec the new office software...and, as she had used Tucasi software at her previous school, the choice was easy. She opted for the Schools Cash Office Trips & Events module by Tucasi, which integrates every aspect of trip planning, combining convenient one-time data entry with specialised functions like consent management and payment schedules. It also provides administrators with reporting functions that enable them easily to track payments against individual trips, events and pupils... and provides full audit trails.

Outcome

Sarah found the Tucasi software even easier-to-use than she remembered, and she has particular praise for Trips & Events' 'Add Trip' function and for the powerful reporting functions that helps her and colleagues stay on top of 'monies received'. Their trips are all available online which is working really well for them. She told us: "We're a cashless office and have been for a couple of years now!"
