We need to record income for staff or parents in SCO.
Summary:
How to setup SCO to record income received from staff, parents or other individuals who are not pupils at the school.
Solution:
Add a new Class with an appropriate name (for example, Staff or Parents) and then add the individuals as pupils. To do this:
1. Add a Class
- Click on the Configuration tab.
- Click on Staff.
- Click Add Staff Member. An Account Number will automatically be generated.
- Complete the fields Full Name (e.g. Staff), Initials (e.g. Staff), and Payee Name (this can be the same as Full Name).
- Click Done.
2. Add a staff member, parent or other individual as a pupil
- Click on the Configuration tab.
- Click on Pupils.
- Click on Add New Pupil.
- Enter the individual’s Last Name and First Name.
- Select the correct Class as created in step 1 (e.g. Staff).
- Enter a Year outside the range of your school year groups, e.g. 7 for Primary schools and 6 for Secondary schools.
- Click Done.
The individuals can subsequently be selected from the pupil list in the usual fashion when recording income in SCO, and can be added to trips via the Configure School Trip window.
